Terms of Service
Last updated 2 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Backsolved at backsolved.com (“the Service”), operated by Abhijeet Rohil, Delhi, India (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
Backsolved is interview practice software. It conducts written case-interview simulations and produces automated feedback reports, part of which is generated by a third-party artificial-intelligence model and part of which is computed deterministically from the case’s stored reference data.
2. What the Service is not
The Service does not provide career advice, recruitment services, job placement, educational certification, or professional advice of any regulated kind. Nothing it produces is a prediction, assessment or guarantee of your performance in any real interview, or of any employment outcome. Reports are practice feedback and nothing more.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company, or any other firm, employer or educational institution. Case scenarios are our own work and describe invented companies; any resemblance to a real organisation’s situation is incidental.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old to buy access. You are responsible for the accuracy of the email address you register, for keeping your credentials secure, and for activity under your account. One account is for one person. Sharing credentials, reselling access, or using one purchase to serve multiple people is a breach of these terms.
4. Purchases, price and access period
The first case is provided free of charge. Paid access to the full case library costs ₹1,499 for customers billed in Indian rupees and $29 for customers billed in US dollars, charged once, and grants access for 120 days from the moment payment succeeds. Early-access pricing of ₹799 / $15 applies to the first 50 customers.
There is no subscription, no automatic renewal and no stored payment mandate. Prices shown at checkout include any applicable taxes. We may change prices for future purchases; a change never affects access you have already paid for.
Payments are processed by our third-party payment gateway. We do not receive or store your card details. Cancellation and refund terms are set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attempt to extract, reverse-engineer or publish the reference data (“ground truth”) behind any case;
- copy, republish, resell or redistribute case content or reports, in whole or in part;
- use automated means to access the Service, or attempt to circumvent rate limits, usage limits or access controls;
- use the Service to generate content unrelated to case-interview practice, or to attempt to manipulate the underlying AI model into behaviour outside the Service’s purpose;
- interfere with the Service’s operation or security, or attempt to access another user’s account or data.
We apply usage limits to keep the Service available and its costs sustainable. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section, and in serious cases without refund.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, its case scenarios and their reference data are owned by us. Your access is a limited, personal, non-transferable licence for the paid period. Your transcripts and the reports generated from them are yours. You may keep, export and share them. You grant us only the licence needed to store them, generate your report and provide the Service to you.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. It depends on third-party infrastructure and on an AI provider whose availability we do not control. We may perform maintenance, change features, or discontinue the Service. If we discontinue it while you hold unexpired paid access, we will refund the unused portion on a pro-rata basis.
8. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of opportunity, offer or employment. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account does not automatically entitle you to a refund outside the refund policy. We may terminate access for breach of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The “last updated” date above will change, and material changes will be notified by email to registered users. Continued use after a change means acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Delhi, Delhi shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any non-excludable rights you have as a consumer where you live.
